My sewing machine has not been quite herself lately. It’s been noisy, even after oiling, and very now and again it would choke on the bobbin thread. There’d be a big noise, like a crash, but after a missed stitch, it would recover and sew nicely, just as before. What is wrong???
And then I ran out of bobbin thread and needed to wind some more. That’s when it dawned on me: just look at that bobbin!
Changed the bobbin, and normality returned. No noise, no crashes, no skipping. Next time my machine gets noisy for no obvious reason, I’ll be sure to investigate properly!
